Online Guitar Lessons

Nowadays, there are a lot of advantages to online lessons. With today's technology, distance is not a problem anymore. You can take lessons from the comfort of your home, and live one-on-one online guitar lessons are great for people unable to find a suitable guitar teacher in their local area. Also, prices tend to be lower than with traditional lessons, and there is no travel time.

Why take lessons?

Private lessons provide individualized, one-on-one instruction with a professional guitar performer and certified educator. Watching online tutorials can help, but in order to have significant progress in learning an instrument, you need constant feedback. Lessons are completely adapted to your goals and designed to make learning guitar a fun and meaningful experience.

Who can take lessons?

Are you returning to playing guitar after some time away, brand new to the instrument, or a seasoned professional who wants feedback to refine your playing?  All experience levels are welcome in this guitar studio. Ages 15 to 99 are welcome!

This varies greatly from student to student. You can learn Classical Guitar, Flamenco Guitar, Pop Guitar and more. Whether you want to perfect advanced or complex pieces or just have a first approach to the instrument, it's up to you. Do you want to get better at reading music? Are you preparing a Conservatory exam? Do you just want to get better at strumming the guitar? All that and much more can be covered in the lessons

What do I need to take online guitar lessons?

  • A good internet connection (at least 5Mbs)

  • A Webcam and a microphone (most webcams have built-in mics). You can also use your phone, but a larger screen with good quality speakers or headphones is highly recommended for a better experience

  • Set up your camera, so I can see both of your hands in the video. Avoid having a window or bright lights behind you. Use front lighting so your face and guitar are clear in the video. It can take some time at first, but once you get around this, you're set to go, and it's almost as being in the same room with the teacher. With the boom of Video calls, music and guitar learning has been modernized as well!

  • We meet via Zoom or Skype.

These are the best, widely used software for online music lessons. Zoom and Skype are completely free to use.

What is included in the lessons?

I have an organized and progressive  teaching method, but I am not into prefabricated, over-structured classes. I provide an array of guitar materials, books, and scores in PDF. I also usually write notes after each lesson to summarize what to focus on for the following lesson; this helps keeping your practice well-organized and with clear objectives.

These lessons may also include custom-made short videos in case you need them for your practice. Besides the live, real-time lesson where you'll get most of the feedback, when purchasing lessons, this also includes Asynchronous teaching: you can send me a weekly short video of you playing and ask questions, and you'll get feedback in between lessons as well.
